Our Story

Our founders developed The Good Life Recovery Hotel in Cali, Colombia with the mission of making medical recovery a luxurious and seamless experience. After traveling to Colombia themselves for medical treatment it was soon discovered that accommodations were lacking for those needing to recover after plastic or medical procedures. Even with family in the area and the ability to speak Spanish fluently, the medical procedure process was difficult and stressful.

When having the disadvantages of not knowing the area, not controlling transportation, not knowing where the best pharmacy is, where to find healthy food delivery, and traveling to the grocery stores for extended stays, it’s impossible for someone traveling alone or with a companion to deal with after a procedure. If you are not a Spanish speaker forget about it! There are not a lot of English speakers in Cali.

The Levins knew they had to find the perfect hotel building and start development of their new medical recovery project right away to aid those coming to Cali internationally in droves for medical care.

Fast forward to today, the Levins are proud owners of a hotel building in El Peňón, on the West side of Cali, Colombia. They are currently under construction to revamp the hotel into the most luxurious and tranquil recovery environment. Each of the 19 rooms will have its own unique personality. No two rooms will be alike. The Good Life Recovery Hotel is scheduled to open in January of 2026.

“We saw personally week after week there was a gap in the market, and we became excited to build a true medical recovery facility that was more than just a place to lay your head. After discussing the hotel’s missions with local doctors, it was confirmed that there was not an all-inclusive medical recovery hotel in the area for those traveling, specifically from English speaking countries.”

“As a Spanish speaker it was difficult at times to maneuver arriving on time to the doctor’s appointments and speaking in depth with the doctors and providers. We knew it was essential for our hotel to employ staff who speak English and Spanish. It is necessary to have services such as transportation and culinary under our umbrella to manage every moment of our guest’s experience.”

“Our patient coordinators will begin to aid the guests before they depart from their homes. The patient coordinators will guide the guests through their pre-intake, intake, pre-surgery, and post-surgical recovery. The patient coordinators will also keep in communication with the guest’s doctor for the guest’s personalized treatment plans. By working hand in hand with the doctors, nurses, front desk, and culinary team, the patient coordinators will ensure that the guest has a flawless experience through the procedure and recovery. From the moment the guest arrives until they are ready to travel back home, the guest will be guided by the patient coordinators.”
